Prepared Childbirth Education

Classes designed to teach the expectant mother and her "coach" techniques to be used during the labor and birth experience.

Four-Week Session
Fee: $40
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Express Childbirth Education
A one day class for the expectant mother and her “coach” on what to expect during pregnancy, labor, and delivery of the newborn. Tour of the Family Birth Center is included as well as an interactive booklet. Snacks provided and cafeteria available for lunch.

One Day Session
Fee: $50
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Newborn Cares Class
Prepare yourself for parenting your newborn. This is a class designed to teach normal newborn care and what to expect from birth to discharge.

One Session
Fee: $10
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Breastfeeding Instruction Class

This class will introduce and reinforce breastfeeding techniques for the new mother and baby.

Fee: $10

Infant/Child CPR

American Red Cross Health and Safety courses teach you how to prevent, recognize, and respond to emergencies.
Infant/Child CPR focuses on what to do if there is an emergency in which a child is not breathing, has no pulse, or is choking.

Fee: $26.25 (includes book)
Time: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Teen Childbirth Education
The class is a one-on-one program designed to meet the needs of the teen learner. It addresses the individual needs of the teen mother including prenatal care, physical and psychological changes during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and baby care.

The Family Birth Center recognizes certain situations benefit from individual learning opportunities.
